Organizations are the mirror of a society

I was able to get to know a few colleagues who have similar attitudes and with whom I share the same need for autonomy. I would now like to work more closely with part of this group and, above all, make the network visible as Network 108. With the relaunch of this website, I parted with the “Coaching & Training” label. These terms have become arbitrary. Maybe they always were, if not for me. That's why I now summarize my activities under the name "Strategy 108". With an addition that is important to me: The Expedition. Because, as I see it, looking back over the last 30 years, that's what it's all about. A bold exploration for both myself and my clients. The aim of Network 108 is to place this expedition on an even broader, highly functional basis.
Network 108 can use itself as a highly functional system, or it can also perform externally. It is at the same time:
- think tank
- project team
- research group
- task force
Another reason for me to invite to this group: In recent years, topics of organizational development (OD) at the level of CEO coaching have increasingly become part of my work and consultations. This was also linked to the painful experience that very interesting and exciting projects passed me by. Despite the external perception of my competence in this field. The reason: On the customer side, the projects were perceived as "too big" to entrust them to me. "Too big" in the minds of some customers meant: to go with agencies that had the appropriate "manpower" on the market, rather than with a developer who seemlingly acted as a "lone fighter".
In my experience, customers who tend to go big are not always well received, which seemed quite foreseeable. Behind agencies/consulting companies there is a cost apparatus that has to be served by appropriate value creation. Here, organizational fashions come into play, sounding as "sexy" as possible, promise organizations the future, brought onto the market with greatest conviction and most of all – can be sold for appropriate wages. We instead offer you hard work based on three questions: Where does your organization come from? Where is it now? And where is it supposed to be going?
You may now notice, Network 108 is not an agency or management consultancy. However, it can scale up at any time – in the spirit of an agile circular organization. That depends solely on the order. This thought unites us in Network 108 and it carries me, because I believe - far from any social romanticism - that companies, each in its own way, are a mirror of the society in which we live. In other words: If we, as consultants and coaches, are able to positively influence coexistence in companies, then this is also a small contribution to the society in which we live. This thesis may sound a bit “daring”. But if work accounts for a significant part of our lifetime, then it is also very likely that we carry our experiences there into our private environment. Right?
